Sound familiar?

Where a trading business loses its margin

Not on the price. On the same product being kept in four places, each of them slightly out of date.

The site says in stock, the shelf says no

Stock lives in the warehouse program and, separately, on the website. Someone syncs them - when they remember.

Every price change is made twice

Once in the system the shop runs on, once on the site. The two agree until the first promotion.

A new collection costs a week of typing

Hundreds of items arrive from the supplier as a file. Names, attributes and descriptions get retyped and translated by hand.

Every B2B customer's terms are in someone's head

Discounts and payment terms live in old emails, so quoting depends on which colleague picks up the phone.

With PLANA · one catalogue behind every channel
PLANA - the core
  • One catalogue, one stock level
  • A price per customer, not per file
  • Orders from every channel in one place
  • The invoice from the same record
  • A new collection imported, not retyped

How it is built

Three layers, and only the top one is about trade

The foundation is the same for every sector we work in. A shop, a distributor and a manufacturer sit on the same core - what differs is the layer on top.

LAYER 1

Platform - one core, shared by every sector

Sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting and documents on one database. One record of what was ordered, what moved and what was invoiced - so there is nothing to reconcile between programs, because there is only one program.

  • orders and purchasing
  • inventory
  • accounting
  • documents (DMS)
  • users and permissions
LAYER 2

Capabilities - what the platform already does

These are not plans. Each of them is either a package we sell today or something built and running in a delivered project.

  • online shop on the ERP
  • WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify
  • POS with a fiscal printer
  • price lists per country and per customer
  • B2B portal with its own terms
  • several storefronts on one database
  • catalogue import from a supplier API
  • Stripe and card payments
  • Econt, Speedy and DHL
LAYER 3

Trade - what we configure for your channels

The layer that differs from company to company: which channels you sell through, who gets which price, where the stock physically sits and how a new collection gets into the catalogue without being retyped.

  • channels and storefronts
  • price lists and discount rules
  • stock across sites
  • catalogue import and enrichment
  • B2B registration and approval
  • returns and claims

Delivered

Two shapes of trade, one core

A B2B distributor selling across two continents, and a retailer whose catalogue changes with every season.

Organic Tee Star

Delivered 2020

Organic clothing, gift sets and specialty products, sold in the US and Europe. Several product lines meant several storefronts - and one business that had to stay in step with itself.

  • All storefronts on one database, managed from a single back office.
  • Categories that update themselves through the Stanley/Stella supplier API.
  • A customer picks a country at registration and gets that region's price list; individual discounts sit on top.
  • A fulfilment platform giving external partners their stock in real time.
  • Econt for waybills and live delivery pricing, Stripe for payments across every site.

SportHero

In production

Official Macron equipment for clubs, referees and events, sold to organisations and to end customers. The catalogue turns over every season.

The SportHero online store, built on the PLANA platform and connected to the ERP
  • Products, prices and stock are kept in the ERP; the site reads them, it does not hold a second copy.
  • Orders placed on the site land in Sales automatically.
  • Catalogue import with AI translation: the system reads the original English or Italian, translates it, and keeps both versions so the text stays traceable.

How it runs

What a rollout looks like

STEP 1

Analysis

We take one product and follow it through every channel you sell it in.

STEP 2

Integration

We connect the storefronts, the till, the couriers and the payment provider you already use.

STEP 3

Catalogue

We set up the import so the next collection arrives as data, not as a week of typing.

STEP 4

Support

We stay on after go-live, through the first season change.

Tell us where your stock disagrees with itself

30 minutes. We follow one product through your channels and say plainly which parts we can put on one catalogue and which we cannot.
